Within walking distance (approx 45 minutes walk). Two beaches (pebbles and coarse sand), shops, restaurants, food kiosks, harbour and discovery centre. Excellent play area and cycle path to Bridport.
Famous for fossiling. Lightly shelving beach with a river dividing it. Sand and some pebbles.
A mix of sand and pebbles. Town and public gardens alongside. Good also for rockpools and fossils.
Burton Bradstock Hive Beach
Popular beach, home to the Hive Cafe and Seaside Boarding House. National Trust parking and cliff walks. Good play area in the village.
Iconic pebble beach stretching for 18 miles. Not developed, full of wildlife and stunning scenery.
Long sandy beach with shallow water - ideal for young children. Main town next to the beach, usually lots of beach activities (trampoline, sand art, etc).
